Contribution & Charges/Secondary Assistance Scheme (SAS)/Personal Item List

Contributions & Charges

Contributions & Charges Information Packages are mailed to families two months prior to the start of the school year.  Payment of Contributions & Charges is essential as this enables the school to continue with our educational programs.  Payments can be made by either cash, or by direct deposit into the schools bank account.  Families will receive timely reminders throughout the year of any balances outstanding.

Previous experience has shown that parents/guardian who make regular payments from the beginning of the school year find paying Contributions & Charges less a financial burden.   Payment Plans can be arranged by contacting the Manager Corporate Services, Ms Lesley Bell on 9523 7600.  If you have any concerns or questions in regards please contact Lesley, she is there to help.

Secondary Assistance Scheme (SAS)

The State Government, through The Department of Education provides an allowance to assist eligible families with secondary schooling costs.

To be eligible for the allowance the parent/guardian must hold a Department of Human Services (Centrelink) or Veterans’ Affairs card.  The card must be valid some time during first term.

Application is made by the parent/guardian for students enrolled in Years 7-12 (up to and including the year the student turns 18 years of age) at a secondary school. The application forms are completed by the parent/guardian (card holder) at the school and must be completed prior to the end of term one each year. Parents/carers must apply for the Secondary Assistance Scheme each school year (annually) – applications do not carry forward to future years.

The allowance consists of two components:

  1. $115 Clothing Allowance paid directly to the parent/guardian or the school.
  2. $235 Education Program Allowance paid directly to the school.
